About Me
My name is Alex Thomas, and I'm a filmmaker and photographer based in Memphis, TN. My passion for visual storytelling started when I was nine years old, making action-packed Nerf gun short films in my backyard. Over the years, that passion has grown into a career, allowing me to express emotions and feelings in a way words never could.

I specialize in filmmaking and photography, with experience in short films, documentaries, wedding films, advertisements, live events, and podcasts. On the photography side, I’ve worked on individual and family portraits, senior pictures, sporting events, and live events as well—including photographing a Tim Tebow event. I’m currently filming and editing for The Root Cause Podcast and working toward my commercial drone license to expand my creative capabilities.

In December 2024, I graduated with a BBA in Information Systems from Mississippi State University. While my degree has given me a strong technical foundation, my true passion lies behind the camera. I’ve learned that perfectionism can often be the enemy of creativity. That’s why I’ve embraced my motto: Don’t Overthink, Just Create. It reminds me to let go of overanalyzing and focus on telling compelling stories through my lens.

Whether it’s a still frame or a moving shot, my goal is always the same—to make every image feel like a scene from a movie. If you’re looking for cinematic storytelling through photo or video, let’s create something incredible together.
